Coordinator Letter #3 – October 24, 2001
Greetings to All Runners and Volunteers, Your response has been overwhelming! We are so thankful to be part of such an incredible group of people! Of course, it has caused a little delay with assigning runners. Please be patient. Please avoid emails/calls with requests for information if at all possible. Stay with us – it will be out early tomorrow a.m. We still have people signing up to run! That’s great and everyone can run! We are unable to assign anyone who signed up after this morning (10/24) to a specific staging area. We ask that those individuals find a staging area away from the metro area if possible and join us. If that is not possible, join us where you need to along the route. Everyone needs to bring the signed release form to the staging area (this form is available through the main web site) and give it to the Staging Area Captain. Donations/Contributions can also be presented to the Staging Area Captain upon arrival. Check main web site for further information. Runners are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue. Let’s show our true colors throughout the state of Oklahoma! Watch the weather for best attire – especially if you will be running at night. Some reflective vests are available. If you have one, please bring it along. Safety is extremely important! SPECIFIC NEEDS:
