Last SC Update Before the Run
Flag run organization and rules:
This has grown beyond belief. In some places, it will be a street party. Call your friends and neighbors and get them out.... somewhere along the path of the Flag. It will certainly be a life long memory... a GOOD one, bring a camera.
Rules for Runners:
- Wear Black shorts and a black armband on left arm if you can.
- Dress appropriately, it might get cold.
- Stay in a group, we'll go slowly so don't straggle out, especially in the towns and cities.
- ALWAYS stay behind the police escort, never lead. That will protect you from a driver who is in a hurry and doesn't see the lone runner.
- At night wear the reflective vest and a light colored tee shirt
- Drink water before the run and have snack for after the run. The RV has limited H2O.
- If you are an RV rider, you may be asked to drive for a while.
- Have fun but be responsible and courteous to others.
- As people join in the Flag can be passed, around, but PLEASE treat this FLAG with respect and honor all that it represents. Remember the Red in the stripes represents the blood that others spilt, often their own, so we could have the freedom we enjoy today.
- Remember why we are here, its not just to run. Resolve and Remembrance!!
I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. In some cases I was not able to contact you directly about running. Please come out and run. Take a look at the timeline and join right in. Everyone will be included. Run safe, have fun, and God Bless America.
