Howdy folks,

I had the honor of running with the flag contingent across Dallas on October 27.

This opportunity that the organizers have worked so hard to create is something I will remember for the rest of my life. Specifically, I will remember the jog through Downtown Dallas. The strict cadence of the National Guard runners coupled with the cheers of onlookers lining the streets as we jogged amongst the huge, elegant skyscrapers created a phenomenal feeling that embodies the greatness that is Texas and the United States.

To the organizers and participants of Flag Across America, a note of appreciation: Thank you for an experience that will remain with me for a lifetime. To the folks who lost loved ones in September, a message of hope: You and your loved ones have been in millions of peoples' thoughts and prayers. An incredible amount of goodness has already and will continue to come from this tragedy.
