HEY FLAG RUNNERS AND SUPPORT FOLKS!

Here is the latest update for runners; a logistical support update will follow.

Now that you have committed to a certain base camp (See TX state page on www.flagrun2001.org for locations), we need you to commit to a time so we know where the holes are.

Please check the time line on the website. Next, email us the leg # you will plan to run on. In the email, include the distance you will run. The pace is an 11-minute mile.

Flag Run Day/Night: Arrive at your base camp 1 hour prior to your running time. Drivers will be available to transport you to/from your car.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26TH – BASE 1 / LONGVIEW
Base Camp Location is Good Shephards Hospital, 6th & Highway 80

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26TH – BASE 2 / MINEOLA
Base Camp Location is American Legion Hall, 2 Miles East of Mineola on Highway 80

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27TH – BASE 3 / TERRELL
Base Camp Location is the Chamber of Commerce Building, 1314 W. Moore & Highway 80 Terrell, Next to Terrell High School Football Stadium East of Terrell.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27TH – BASE 4 / TEXAS STADIUM (Subject to final approval)

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28TH – BASE 5 / Denton
Sears Parking Lot at I-35E and Loop 288

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28TH – BASE 6 / GAINESVILLE
Leonard Park Pavilion – Immediately Southwest of I-35 and California Street

Many of you have asked if you will be “chosen” to run the flag. EVERYONE WILL BE INCLUDED. This run is for anyone who wants to join with their fellow citizens in a demonstration of American resolve, strength, and unity.
