We were so excited to hear that THE FLAG was to come right by our business, Baumann Coatings. We got our flags ready and allowed all the employees (plant & office) to stop what they were doing to cheer the runners on. We stood still for a moment and then started cheering. It made us all proud of our country. I was so caught up in it that I ran to catch up with the carravan so I might be able to volunteer to carry THE FLAG. I had my work clothes on and shoes but they were so nice and allowed me to carry the flag for a short while. It is a great feeling inside knowing that I was one of the runners that helped THE FLAG travel from Boston to L.A.. I thank God everyday that I am an American and we are free. God Bless America.
