I would just like to make a few comments concerning the run near Wickenburg, Arizona. My cousin Iris Tolley and I were to help with the flag from Wickenburg to Aguila, so we arrived in Wickenburg early to find out where we were supposed to be. We met the other people at the local McDonalds parking lot. There was a lot of excitement and anxious feelings as we all waited. What a thrilling sight it was to see the runners coming with that beautiful flag. Very tender feelings were tugging at our hearts. It was such a good feeling to touch and carry the flag and the memorial stick with the names of the courageous pilots and flight crews that were killed that fateful day. It made you have a lump in your throat as we gathered together as a group and repeated the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. I felt a very insignificant part of this run but I also felt a heart full of thanks for the people that made it all possible. It was another way to bond together in a renewed determination to help our country remain free. This was a divinely inspired undertaking and He made it possible to accomplish the logistics of the whole thing. I am glad I was apart of the historical event. We traveled from Utah to do it and it was well worth it all.
Proud to be an American
