After the run last night, I didn't think it could be topped. But meeting the folks at The Staples Center to run the 3 miles to Western & Wilshire proved me wrong. The people were great, the women runners from the LAPD, Chicago transplant, Port Hueneme, and others were motivating. Meeting Tom, whose wife was a stewardess on Flight 77, and the AA stewardess, from New Mexico, was a real treat. Talking with the Devil Dogs in the R.V. was also a treat.
Sunday, I got to meet some motivating runners; LAPD runners, The women runners (Chicago transplant, Port Hueneme lady, etc), Tom [Heidenberger], whose wife was a Stewardess on Flight 77, and others. Darrell, thanks for letting me be a pert of this tribute. I enjoyed meeting you and the other Devil dog in the R.V. Also, the AA Stewardess and her Spouse from New Mexico, and Jeff and his wife, Nancy.
I appreciate the opportunity to have been involved with this event.
Thanks for all these memories. It made for a most memorable Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans' Day.
