Just a quick note to let you know that we provided two motorcycle units for the escort. We started at the New Haven/West Haven town line and along with the two West Haven motorcycles we escorted the run to the Bridgeport / Fairfield town line.
It was wonderful to see the streets lined with people and hearing the cheers of USA over the deafing sounds of sirens and motorcycles was something that will stay with us for ever. You people are to be commended for your efforts on putting this together. I can only hope that as our flag winds its way across our country the people are there for support of all these runners and staff that is suporting them. As we left the runners and support staff thank us for our help, BUT it was more of an honor for us tobe able to provide an escort. I'm not ashamed to say that I did get teary eyed along the way.
