My name is Athena.
I am 12 years old and go to The Cushman School. Even though we live in Florida, I wanted to run with The Flag. Also I wanted to make a donation. So Culligan Water gave me 20 water bottles and I took them to school. We raised $371.92, mostly in pennies. My Mom, a pilot with American, took me to Atlanta and on the 20th of October my wish came true! I got to run with The Flag, and got to carry it right through the streets of downtown Atlanta. This was so much fun, I would like to have run a lot longer.
America is a great country. It is amazing that so many people can work together so fast to make this wonderful event happen. No one can keep America down! We are proud and free.
I hope everyone will have better tomorrows. And I hope we can teach others that joy of trust and cooperation that everyone showed, running with The Flag.
