Tonight at approximately 10 P.M. several citizens of Tallulah, Louisiana,
stood beside the highway and waved as the runner with the American Flag
passed by our historic old courthouse. Rain was pouring only moments before
the runner got into town; however, he still ran and we still waited for him.
All of us standing there felt such a tremendous surge of pride and love as
the runner went before us. There had been no preparation by any of the town
officials to have people there for the run, just one person who heard about
the run on the radio and got on her phone and began calling everyone to try
to get them out tonight. I am grateful Louise Glass heard about this and was
so excited about this endeavor that she called to get a group there. Tonight
a glorious memory was made that will be shared many times over with children,
grandchildren and possibly even great grandchildren. How wonderful it is to
be an AMERICAN PATRIOT.
Sincerely, Carol Dunning, Tallulah, Louisiana
