Good Morning to you all. The map is up on the website and looks great. Thanks to Mary and Ryen for the hard work on it. Today we get the chance to carry our wonderful nation's Flag across our state. I am very proud to be associated with all of you who have stepped up and have committed to the cause. I look forward to finally meeting each and every one of you today. Some things to remember. The weather today does not look all that great. If you're running, bring extra clothes or rain gear. If you get to a stop point for vechicles and no one is around, drive up Route 1 to the flag and we will work out coming to get you. If you are in a bunch, jump in one car and come to the flag. We will do our best to come and get everyone, but please use your own initiative to get to the flag. We have tried very hard to make it as easy for you to find us. Good plans always have holes in them. Just ask yourself, how bad to I want to carry that Flag? Just by signing up you have told me. Bring water and some light food. If you want to bring someone along, bring them. I want this to be a great experience for all of us and anyone we can grab along the way. You will make it what you want. Make us proud. The flag is on time. Count on us getting the Flag on schedule. They have built in 12-minute miles. If we get ahead we do not have to run the entire time. That is when I get on the Flag. Some morning humor their. Bring a camera. Don't want you to miss your Kodak minute.
Phone numbers for today again. I will be at home till around 11 to 11:30. Email me, Libbie or Mary if any of you need something, otherwise see yoou on the firing line. If you have signed up and we for some reason failed to get in touch with you and you still want to run. Go to the location you want to run and intorduce yourself to us and we will get you to carry the Flag. Thank you all for being so patient. I will need that from all of you especially today. See you on Rt.1. God Bless all of you, Brian |
