What an experience...
I ran at the VLA Radio Satellite station in southewestern New Mexico about 120 miles SW of Albuquerque Monday 11/5 from 0530 - 0630 with my friend and colleague Klaus. When we started it was dark and the moon was bright and almost full, the sun was just rising as we finished our run. Here's some pictures of Klaus and I as we took turns holding the flag and the VLA at sunrise!
The other thing I wanted to say was I drove in the convoy throught the streets of Albuquerque and I remember two elderly gentlemen on Griegos Street who were wearing World War II hats and they stood so straight and tall saluting as we went by.. It was such a COOL thing to be a part of!
And I got comfortable with military time too :o)
