NM Flag Run Coordinators,
Because of your leadership, the success of the flag run in New Mexico was OUTSTANDING! You are to be commended.
I am filled with tears of emotions, here in Virginia, because of the pride that was shown by the Great State of New Mexico, I know how all of you felt when you saw the Flag! My daughter Julia and I participated in the Flag Run in Virginia (www.flagrun2001.org/va.html) when it came through our area. Our participation here was awesome, but New Mexico you outshined the rest of us! To think that is the same flag that I was honored to touch up here and for it to be in New Mexico and Socorro (my hometown, I knew they were going all out!) is truly amazing. I wish I would have asked you to stop at the little church that my dad built as a tribute for his mom and as a shrine for all the travelers on Highway 60 as a symbol for God's safety in their travels, on your way to Magdalena.
I saw the pictures on the website, and I couldn't help but open each one! The emotions felt by each person showed itself on the pictures!
