Hey guys...
Thank you so much for doing this flag run. Kelley Wood from the NY sales office and I were able to meet up with the runners at Union Square in Manhattan and continued on to the Holland Tunnel. I have to say carrying the flag through the streets of Manhattan has to be at this point a true highlight in my life. Running side by side with pilots, firefighters, NYPD and F/A's from other bases gave me a feeling of at least being able to do SOMETHING. The time we took to actually go down to Ground Zero and see first hand the effects of these attacks left me with a feeling I'll never ever forget. It makes one feel very small and the everyday inconveniences seem trivial. I hope it's a feeling I never lose. What an overwhelming, jaw dropping, hand over the mouth "OH MY GOD" feeling.
Too those who have not signed up, do so. To be able to grab that flag and run a mile, a block, a yard, will give you a feeling of togetherness that we all need right now. Sign up, grab it and RUN.
Thanks again for the hard work that has been done to get this thing together and allowing me to be a part of it!
