Junior Girl Scout Troop 1438 just returned from watching the runners enter Mesquite, Texas on the access road to Highway 80. The troop waved flags, held up a banner of support and donated water bottles and cookies for the runners and volunteers. It was an awesome sight seeing the runners come over the hill and pass by carrying that big American flag! There were people lined all along the access road cheering the runners on and lots of support from the Texas State Patrol and Mesquite Police. We are truly proud to be Americans and want to thank everyone for letting us be part of this historic event.
