The idea, execution and coordination of this great event has been awesome! The feelings that have welled up while participating as a runner have been well described by others. I think equally impressive and heart touching were the people who showed up to cheer, small children who ran along side for short distances all at 3 in the morning- something I will never forget. Personally, I have participated in many 10 K races, one marathon and many many triathlons. None of my family has ever come out to cheer. Yet, at 3 AM Sunday morning (Lewisville, TX), my wife was there, as was my 89 year old father in law, a daughter (who loves her sleep) and her husband. Thank you for letting all of us (Americans) find a visible way to show support and strength for this great nation.
