Its taken me awhile to express my thought and feelings of the enormous impact the Flag Run has had on me.
I'm a Boston based flight attendant and wanted dearly to run at this event. Yet, I'm not much of a runner and it didn't look like my flight schedule would allow me. Then, when I saw the Flag would be in Texas on a day off; So, put my name on the list and hopped the earliest flight.
To see all the people cheering and standing at our sides is truly overwhelming...and it was after midnight. Then, I was told one of my instructors was a driver and supporter of the Flag run in Texas. Seeing him was more than incredible. See, I lost a classmate on Flight 11 and to see our instructor ment more than you'll ever know.
Alas, when we made it to DFW airport and said the pledge of allegiance and then a prayer was said it was like WOW! When, we proceeded to sing GOD BLESS AMERICA and the airplanes were sprayed I've never been more proud, grateful, and blessed to be and American.
Thank you!!!!!!!
