Sunday October 28th
Laura,
To you and your merry troop of Texas coordinators and National
coordinators
THANK YOU are inadequate words for what I experienced on 10/27/01. From
carrying our colors with fellow Americans of all colors, then to allow
me
to honor Michael by carrying the flag into the AA arena, I can't put my
feelings into words. As I was standing in the arena waving our flag I
realized that I representing not only Michael but all the innocent
victims,
the other heroes and your fellow pilots and crew members. WHAT AN
HONOR!!!!!!!!
From a day of horrendous loss to one of unbelievable emotion you guys
should be very proud. The Flag Run has started to heal many wounds and
the
true feelings of the United States was and continues to be exhibited as
you
proceed to L.A. Rest assured the message will not end in L.A. it will
remain in the hearts and souls of the thousands who touched, carried and
saluted the flag as it went by and the millions who have seen on T.V.
The only regret I have is that my Stephanie and Michael's dad (Jack) and
mom
(Kathleen) could not experience the outpouring of gratitude and love from
their fellow Americans. God Bless you guys I LOVE YOU from the bottom of
my heart.
If there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to call.
Please stay in touch.
