I had the honor and privilege of running with the flag from just east of Wills Point to Terrell and I assisted in ferrying runners between Terrell and Sunnyvale (white van).
I just want to thank all of you who gave so unselfishly of your time and resources to make the Texas portion of Flag Across America such an overwhelming success. You did a great job of coordination and should be very proud of your accomplishment.
After Saturday, I am more convinced than ever that patriotism is alive and well in America. I still get very emotional from thoughts of people pulling their cars over to the side of the road and placing their hands on their hearts as the flag passed by; cars and trucks blowing their horns and people waving from inside; trains blowing their whistles; working cowboys riding up to the fence so that they could hold the flag; and saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the Star Spangled Banner in downtown Terrell.
Thanks Again!
John Davis
